Married Atlanta Pastor Infects Church Members With HIV
Two women have pressed charges against Davis, and one has just recently come forward with her story.
Ronita McAfee, one of the women who slept with Davis, met him on Facebook, and was alerted of his health status when one of his ex-girlfriends called and told her she had HIV. Based on his actions, McAfee determined that Davis had no intentions of slowing down his appetite for women, prompting her to press charges against him.
McAfee also posted on warning about Davis on the church's website.
After the investigation began, another female member of the church came forward to admit that she too had a physical relationship with Davis. The woman confided in church bishop, Steven Hall, and claimed to have been celibate for 15-year-old before meeting Davis. She is now HIV Positive. Davis was arrested at a local Wendys for reckless conduct, and was denied then granted bail, which was posted by his wife.
Authorities suspect that there are other women who have been infected by Davis but have yet to come forward.

The GOP's ugly side revealed itself during the Republican National Convention last night, as an attendee in Tampa, Florida allegedly threw nuts at a black camerawoman working for CNN, taunting, “This is how we feed animals” before she was removed from the convention.
The CNN official declined to confirm specific details of the incident but generally confirmed an account posted on Twitter by former MSNBC and Current anchor David Shuster: “GOP attendee ejected for throwing nuts at African American CNN camera woman + saying ‘This is how we feed animals.’”It is not clear whether the alleged culprit was a delegate or attending the convention in some other capacity.In a written statement, CNN addressed the matter but divulged few details: “CNN can confirm there was an incident directed at an employee inside the Tampa Bay Times Forum earlier this afternoon. CNN worked with convention officials to address this matter and will have no further comment.”
According to Politico however, RNC spokesperson Kyle Downey said:
"Two attendees tonight exhibited deplorable behavior. Their conduct was inexcusable and unacceptable. This kind of behavior will not be tolerated."

Teammates Call Gabby Douglas "A Slave"
Gabby Douglas opened up to Oprah on last weekend's Oprah's Next Chapter and she tackled a bunch of serious topics we all wanted to know about the Gold Medal gymnast and America's sweetheart.
Of course Gabby mentioned the controversy surrounding her hair, the issues with her father and even admitted to being called a slave by other gymnasts during gymnastic training in her hometown of Virginia.
“One of my teammates was like, ‘Could you scrape the bar?’” she remembered.
“And they were like, ‘Why doesn’t Gabby do it, she’s our slave?’”
“I was the only African-American at that gym,” Gabby went on. “I definitely felt isolated. Why am I deserving this? Is it because I’m black? — those thoughts were going through my mind.”

Since the NFL baller has a previous domestic charge on his record, Florida Law gives the state the power to upgrade his offense. Back in 2000, Chad pleaded no contest for slapping his girlfriend. Ochocinco was given community service and had no other incidents for 12 years, before allegedly headbutting his wife Evelyn Lozada a few weeks ago.

Maine Woman Gives Birth to Own Grandson
What's the nicest thing mom has ever given you? Chances are it won't top Linda Sirois's gift to her daughter Angel Hebert: a healthy baby boy. The Portland Herald reports that the Maine grandmother, 49, acted as a surrogate for Hebert and her husband Brian and delivered their son Madden by C-Section on August 17.
The arrangement sounds a little strange, but Hebert, 25, has a heart condition that made it too dangerous for her to get pregnant. Her cardiologist said it would be risky for both her and her baby. "It was pretty disappointing," she says. She and her husband are high school sweethearts who started dating eleven years ago.
Previously mom had told Hebert she was willing to carry a baby for her. Now it was time to see if she really meant it. "I called her last summer," Hebert told the Herald Press. "And I'm like, 'So, you know that offer...Is that offer still on the table?'"

Is Dez Bryant on Punisment?
The Dallas Cowboys have been dealing with receiver Dez Bryant's inconsistency on the field, and his missteps off it, since they selected him with the 24th overall pick in the 2010 NFL draft. Bryant has ridiculous athleticism and the most impressive catch radius this side of Calvin Johnson, but he's also dug himself quite a few holes with his behavior -- most notably, with an incident that took place on July 20, when he had Class A misdemeanor charges filed against him after his mother, Angela Bryant, called 911 and said that her son had assaulted her.
Three days later, Ms. Bryant decided that she did not want to press charges. The Dallas County district attorney's office is still reviewing the case.
The Cowboys were sufficiently unimpressed. Owner Jerry Jones waited until the end of July to talk with Bryant, because, as Jones said, he didn't want to come at it from the wrong place.
"One of the reasons I didn't [earlier], because I didn't want to talk to him emotionally. … I was disappointed," Jones Said "As a daddy, sometimes you're not supposed to spank when you're mad. I wanted to get the information but also wanted to get my mind right so that we could really have a good talk about this ... I don't have a feeling one way or another, but we have talked."
When the team broke camp in Oxnard, Calif. and returned to Dallas on Aug. 23, Bryant was presented with a series of conditions he must meet if he is to remain with the team. Judging from the specifics, we're guessing that Bryant has been lighting metropolitan Dallas up to an impressive degree.

A Palestinian man from East Jerusalem claims he was repeatedly stunned with a taser in front of his children at a water park in Tel Aviv this week, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz reports.
According to the newspaper, 42-year-old Talal Siad was stunned five times by Israeli police in front of his five children. Siad, who had gone to the water park with his family to celebrate the Muslim holy day Eid ul-Fitr, claims that he suffered from burns and nausea as a result of the incident.
"They cuffed me and continued shooting even though I was not a threat," Siad told Ynet.com. "My son was terrified. I heard him say, 'My father has been murdered.'"
The incident, which was caught on camera , reportedly occurred following a brawl that broke out between a number of park patrons on Tuesday. Video shot by several witnesses at the park shows Siad rolling on the grass as officers shock him several times -- even after he was handcuffed.

SAN JOSE, Calif. — After a year of scorched-earth litigation, a jury decided Friday that Samsung ripped off the innovative technology used by Apple to create its revolutionary iPhone and iPad.
The jury ordered Samsung to pay Apple $1.05 billion in the latest skirmish of a global legal battle between the two tech giants. An appeal is expected.
Apple Inc. filed its patent infringement lawsuit in April 2011 and engaged legions of the country's highest-paid patent lawyers to demand $2.5 billion from its top smartphone competitor. Samsung Electronics Co. fired back with its own lawsuit seeking $399 million.
The verdict, however, belonged exclusively to Apple, as the jury rejected all Samsung's claims against Apple. Jurors also decided against some of Apple's claims involving the two dozen Samsung devices at issue, declining to award the full $2.5 billion Apple demanded.
However, the jury found that several Samsung products illegally used such Apple creations as the "bounce-back" feature when a user scrolls to an end image, and the ability to zoom text with a tap of a finger.

[Updated at 10:09 a.m. ET] A suspect started shooting outside the Empire State Building this morning, killing at least one person, New York city officials say.
The suspect had a "large gun," a witness told CNN.
[Updated at 9:55 a.m. ET] - At least 10 people were shot Friday in front of the Empire State Building in New York Friday morning, the New York Office of Emergency Management said.
A suspect in the shooting was shot and killed by police, New York police said. Authorities converged on the building around 9 a.m. after reports of gunfire.
A witness told CNN's Rose Arce that the gunman ran after and shot a man in the head. An unarmed guard chased the gunman away, the witness told Arce.
Police have closed several several streets around 5th Avenue and 34th Street in Manhattan.
New York resident Max Kaplan, 22, said he heard at least nine gunshots. He said several ambulances have arrived at the scene.
"We're all very shaken up at the office," he said.
The Empire State Building is one of the most famous skyscrapers in the world, and one of New York City's best-known tourist attractions.
Each year, about 4 million people visit the building's two observation decks. At more than 1,453 feet tall, the landmark building reaches more than a quarter-mile into the sky.

Teenager Held Hostage For 2 Years Escapes Captors
WASHINGTON PARK, Ill. (AP) — A teen girl reported missing more than two years ago told police she escaped a home in southwestern Illinois where she had been held captive and repeatedly sexually assaulted.
Authorities in Washington Park, a village next to East St. Louis, raided the house Thursday afternoon and took into custody a 24-year-old man and his mother. They also recovered the teen's young child, which the girl said was the result of rape by her captor.
Washington Park Police Chief David Clark said they believe the man's mother aided the crimes. Police would not identify either of them by name because they had not been charged as of early Friday.
About two dozen members of a SWAT team wearing helmets and body armor swarmed the home with assault rifles drawn. They recovered the child and arrested a man and his mother.

Ewing coyote sightings prompt health alerts, warnings
EWING – Coyotes spotted in the Mountain View section of the township have prompted state and local health officials to issue alerts
and warnings to area residents.
“I saw them, as did my neighbors,” said township business administrator Jim McManimon, who described eyeing a small pack of five coyotes in his neighborhood last week.
Township health officer Virginia Franco said Wednesday that her Animal Control officers have been in contact with the state Division of Fish and Wildlife. She issued an advisory to residents on Monday about the matter.
“They are just kind of running wild right now,” she said. There have been no injuries or confrontations reported to date, she said, and state officials have not caught any coyotes in the area.
Franco said that the animals can pose a public safety risk, especially if they grow accustomed to humans. The wild animals feed on small creatures, like rabbits, mice, rats, birds, small deer and even young sheep, she said, making them a danger to small pets as well. The animals are also known to transmit rabies.

Jay-Z’s club’s beef with his former personal chef appears to have started over a secret-spice recipe for chicken wings. Page Six revealed the hip-hop star’s Manhattan 40/40 Club has served a $1.5 million federal lawsuit against Mike Shand, who was tapped to run the nightspot’s kitchen after cooking on tour for Jay and wife Beyoncé. Court papers charge that Shand was hired to overhaul the menu for the luxury sports bar’s $10 million reopening earlier this year, but then left, “costing the club lost profits, loss of good will [and] alienation of clientele.” One source tells us that Shand left “taking the recipes to popular menu items such as chicken wings, forcing the club to sue.” But we’re told Shand happily handed over all his recipes — except his spice mix. A Georgia high school cheerleading coach has resigned following allegations that she had team members strip during a sleepover at her house.
According to a Clayton County Sheriff's report via The Smoking Gun, the coach hosted a sleepover for the teens at her house and played a game called "Judge and Jury." The coach played the "Judge" while the students played the "Jury." From the report:
[Teresa Reeves of the Clayton County School Board of Education] said the object of the game was to ask a series of questions and in doing so the person would have to answer the question beginning with "honestly." Ms. Reeves said if the student did not answer the question correctly they would have to either run laps around the school track or remove an article of clothing. Ms. Reeves said the student could have their laps reduced if they choose to remove an article of clothing.A student reported the incident to school officials, but a Clayton County Public Schools spokesperson declined to comment to the Clayton News-Daily on an open investigation.

Rodney King was under the influence of cocaine, PCP, marijuana and alcohol at the time of death, according to the death report released Thursday.

The cause of death is listed as accidental drowning -- but the drugs were contributing factors.
He was in a state of "drug- and alcohol-induced delirium at the time" and "either fell or jumped in the swimming pool," according to the San Bernardino County coroner's report, the Los Angeles Times reports.
The drugs, combined with a heart condition, led to a cardiac arrhythmia, and King was “thus incapacitated, was unable to save himself and drowned," according to the report. King's blood-alcohol level was 0.06.

Thieves Hit Jewelry Store at King of Prussia Mall Again
Robbers threaten guard with sledge hammer
Three men with a sledge hammer smashed their way through a King of Prussia jewelry store on Wednesday, grabbing what they could before running out of the store.
Officials tell NBC10 the three masked men walked into the store and threatened the security guard with the small sledge hammer. One of the thieve smashed a display case, while the other two swiped numerous watches from the cases.
Investigators said the whole thing lasted less than 20 seconds.
No one was hurt. Police have not yet determined the value of the goods taken.
There have been previous robberies at this store.

Camden Police confirmed Wednesday that a mother and child died in a murder-suicide.
Prosecutors say the mother, Chevonne Thomas, stabbed multiple times and then decapitated her 2-year-old son and put his head in a freezer, before stabbing herself to death with a kitchen knife.
That little boy was identified as Zahree Thomas.
Prosecutors say the 33-year-old mother called 911 just after midnight and told them something had happened to her child.

Sam Hurd may have to sit in jail until he finds out whether he’ll be sitting for a much longer time in prison.
Hurd, according to a recent profile in theChicago Tribune, tested positive twice for marijuana while free on bail pending his trial on federal drug trafficking charges.
He also allegedly purchased 30 pounds of marijuana while on bail, and then allegedly tried to buy another 200 pounds of marijuana, along with five kilograms of cocaine.
Arrested in December while a member of the Bears, Hurd now faces an effort by prosecutors to keep him behind bars until his trial begins, according to WLS-TV in Chicago.
When news of Hurd’s arrest first broke, he was characterized as a drug kingpin, reportedly with a double digit list of NFL clients. Although Hurd may have been trying to get into the empire business, it appears that he was, at best, in the very early stages of putting together a drug ring.
That said, he allegedly did enough to face up to 40 years in prison. The trial currently is set to begin on October 9.

Since then, Shyne has been asking Diddy to lobby for U.S. residency on his behalf so he can return to America. Diddy promised to help Shyne, but Diddy went back on his promise.

MAMMA SAID KNOCK YOU OUT: LL Cool J breaks burglar's jaw
The burglar who broke into the Studio City home of actor-rapper LL Cool J suffered a broken nose and jaw in what police sources described as a "knock-down, drag-out" fight.
Los Angeles police were called to the star's home in the 12000 Block of Blairwood Drive around 1 a.m. Wednesday, officials said. LL Cool J was holding the suspect when officers arrived, officials said.
LL Cool J, born James Todd Smith, rose to fame with musical hits such as "Mama Said Knock You Out" and "I'm Bad." He currently stars in "NCIS: Los Angeles."
Detectives were waiting to interview the suspect, who was not immediately identified, at a hospital where he was being treated. The suspect is described as a transient, and police could not immediately say whether he had a criminal record.
LL Cool J was upstairs in his home when he heard noise coming from the kitchen area. When he went down to see what was happening, the unidentified suspect came at him, leading to the fight.
